Couples Retreat: The Words of Marriage

Is your marriage facing challenges? Would you like to grow closer to your spouse and learn how to nurture a marriage that lasts a lifetime?

No matter how long you’ve been married, you know the importance of taking time to pause and evaluate the condition of your marriage in a relaxed setting, discovering significant ways to renew and strengthen this most precious relationship, enjoying special time alone together with your spouse and other Christian couples.

I am looking forward all of this and more at the annual NYC Area Couples Retreat, hosted by Faith Baptist Church, October 28-29. This year we will focus on a very important theme, The Words of Marriage.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21).

From the vows you made on your wedding day to the conversations you enjoy with one another for years to come, the words that you speak to your spouse have a tremendous effect on the strength and health of your relationship. Join with us as we consider clear Bible teaching about the grace of God that enables you to speak words that will bring abundant life to your marriage. I hope to see you there!

Speaking sessions will provide biblical, Christ-centered insight on key topics like:

  1. Your marriage vows
  2. Words of affirmation
  3. The power of apology
  4. Building vital communication skills

Our guest speaker will be Pastor Kevin Schaal, joined by his wife Sandy. Together, they have extensive experience loving one another, caring for their five children and ministering to a growing, multiplying church near Phoenix, AZ. You will be blessed by their fellowship and ministry.

The retreat site will be at beautiful Tri-State Bible Camp, in Montague, NJ, less than 2 hours from NYC. Comfortable lodging and meals will be provided onsite. Early registration is encouraged! For more information and to register online, click here.
