Scripture Songs for Children

I have deep respect for Deuteronomy 6:4-9. If the Overmiller home has a family verse, this is it. It teaches me that raising children who love God requires parents who love God. And this love for God perpetuates from parents to children through daily conversations that reveal a love for God and a respect for His words. These conversations should be a regular feature of your morning and evening routines. And they should weave throughout your busy times and your restful times. Conversations about God. Conversations about God and His words.

As we desire to fulfill this pattern in our own family, we have found one resource especially helpful. Bro. Earl Martin and his family have provided a wonderful collection of Scripture songs called “Sing the Bible.” Each song features a Bible verse accompanied by a pleasant, memorable tune. You can download these songs or purchase them on CD for a very low price here. I highly recommend that you do.

This entry was forwarded to me from a friend through Facebook. We are humbled to know that these Scripture memory songs have been a blessing to you and yours. May God richly bless you, your family, and ministry as you serve Him in a part of the country we’ve never been to physically, yet our voice has been heard. Praise the Lord.

So glad to receive your comment. Yes, the Scripture memory songs are a special part of our family “Scripture” diet. I think they help me to meditate on God’s Word as much as they help my children! Thank you for providing this valuable resource.
